What does this fault code mean?
The microphone is connected to the infotainment head unit (IHU) by a signal wire, which the head unit checks. The code is stored when no signal comes from the microphone.
Possible causes
- A break in the signal wire between the head unit and the microphone
- The microphone is damaged
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Make a test call on hands-free and ask the other party how your voice sounds
- 4Check that the connectors at the microphone are intact and seated properly
- 5Check the signal wire to the microphone for breaks, chafing and damage
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop trace the microphone and the signal wire further
