What does this fault code mean?
The head unit (IHU) uses a control signal to start and stop the front display. The code is stored when the voltage on the signal cable is too high, which points to a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Possible causes
- The cable from the head unit to the front display is damaged
- The control signal wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then check whether it comes back
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the wiring between the head unit and the front display for chafing, and for places where it may have touched a live wire
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the control signal wire is not short-circuited to supply voltage
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop trace the front display and the wiring further
Symptoms you may notice1
- The front screen has poor picture quality or no picture
