What does this fault code mean?
This code concerns the theft protection in the infotainment system, Infotainment Theft Protection (ITP), for the audio module (AUD). The central electronic module (CEM) stores the valid serial numbers, which are compared at start-up. The code is stored when the audio module's serial number is not on the list, and the module is then blocked so that its function stops.
Possible causes
- The audio module (AUD) that was fitted is not valid according to the list in the central electronic module (CEM)
- The software was not downloaded to the audio module when it was replaced
- The software download to the audio module has failed or was not completed
What you can do
- 1Has the car recently had a new audio module fitted? Tell the workshop
- 2Have a workshop check that the correct software is loaded in the audio module and that its serial number is registered in the central electronic module (CEM)
- 3The owner cannot fix this alone, so have a workshop carry out the check and any software download
