What does this fault code mean?
Here the issue is Infotainment Theft Protection (ITP), the function that blocks control modules with invalid serial numbers. The code is stored when the TV module's serial number is not on the list in the central electronic module (CEM), and the module is then blocked.
Possible causes
- An invalid serial number in the TV module
- The software was not downloaded to the TV module when it was replaced
- The software download to the TV module has failed or was not completed
What you can do
- 1Has the car recently had a new TV module fitted? Tell the workshop
- 2Have a workshop check that the correct software is loaded in the TV module and that its serial number is registered in the central electronic module (CEM)
- 3The owner cannot fix this alone, so have a workshop carry out the check and any software download
