What does this fault code mean?
This code belongs to Infotainment Theft Protection (ITP), which blocks control modules with invalid serial numbers. It is stored when the digital radio receiver's serial number is not on the list in the central electronic module (CEM), and the check is carried out with the ignition switched on.
Possible causes
- The digital radio receiver is not valid according to the list in the central electronic module (CEM)
- The software was not downloaded to the control module when it was replaced
- The software download to the control module has failed or was not completed
What you can do
- 1Has the car recently had a new digital radio receiver fitted? Tell the workshop
- 2Have a workshop check that the correct software is loaded in the digital radio receiver and that its serial number is registered in the central electronic module (CEM)
- 3The owner cannot fix this alone, so have a workshop carry out the check and any software download
