IHU-U200562 - Vehicle Speed. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System
Infotainment Head Unit (IHU)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment head unit (IHU) compares the speed signal from the brake control module (BCM) with the value from the GPS module. The code is stored when they do not agree, and the check is carried out with the ignition on while MS-CAN works without faults.
Possible causes
- A fault in the brake control module (BCM)
- A fault on the HS-CAN network
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it returns after a drive
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the speed in live data from the brake control module with the GPS module's value during a test drive
- 4The braking system is safety-critical, so do not work on the brake control module or the braking system yourself; have a workshop do it, and check the CAN network there too
Symptoms you may notice3
- The audio unit does not fully work
- Navigation does not work
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
