What does this fault code mean?
The keyless vehicle module (KVM) has detected too high a signal in the circuit to the outer antennas on the right-hand side, which sit in the door handles. This points to a short circuit to supply voltage. The antennas detect the key when you lock or unlock without using it.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to supply voltage in the circuit to the right-hand outer antennas
- Moisture or damage in the door handle antenna or its wiring
What you can do
- 1Use the remote control or the key blade to lock and unlock while the fault is present
- 2Check whether the right-hand door handles have been damaged, for example after a collision or paintwork
- 3Inspect the wiring in the door openings for chafing and pinching
- 4Clear the code; if it returns, have a workshop check the antenna circuit
Symptoms you may notice1
- Keyless locking and unlocking does not work, or works poorly, on the right-hand side
