What does this fault code mean?
The KVM (keyless vehicle module) monitors the outer antenna at the rear of the car once it reaches a certain speed. The code is stored when no signal arrives from the rear antenna circuit. The keyless functions then work poorly or not at all.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the cable to the outer rear antenna
- The outer rear antenna is faulty
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car
- 2Disconnect the battery negative lead and check that the connectors to the rear antenna are firmly seated and clean
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the cable to the rear antenna has no open circuit
- 4Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the cable, the antenna and the KVM, and replace the antenna if no other fault is found
Symptoms you may notice1
- Keyless functions do not work at all or work poorly
