VOLVO
LPG-0107 - Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Signal too low
System
Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:

Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The LPG control module monitors the signal from the pressure sensor in the intake manifold. The code is set when that signal is too low while engine speed is above a certain level.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connector on the LPG control module
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connector on the pressure sensor
- Open circuit or short circuit to ground in the signal wire
- Open circuit or short circuit to ground in the power supply wire
- Defective manifold pressure sensor in the intake manifold
What you can do
- 1With diagnostic equipment, read the intake manifold pressure while running on gas; a normal reading suggests the fault is not active now
- 2Check the connectors on the LPG control module and the pressure sensor for poor contact and oxidation
- 3Check the wires to the pressure sensor for chafing and damage, and use a multimeter to confirm the signal wire has no contact with ground
- 4Use a multimeter to confirm the supply wire to the pressure sensor has no contact with ground
- 5If no fault is found, have a workshop try replacing the pressure sensor in the intake manifold
- 6Erase the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
Symptoms you may notice1
- Poor performance
