The module monitors the current in the wire coming from the GPS antenna. The code is set when that signal wire is found to be shorted to ground, and the car position on the map may then be wrong and navigation may stop working.
Possible causes
- The signal wire is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Look for chafed or pinched spots on the antenna cable where it may have touched the body
- 2Check the connectors on the antenna cable and at the multimedia module for oxidation and loose connections
- 3Have a workshop unplug the multimedia module connector and measure that the antenna cable has no contact with ground
- 4Erase the code and check whether it returns
Symptoms you may notice2
- The car position on the map is incorrect
