What does this fault code mean?
The multimedia module (MMM) takes its settings from the vehicle configuration file held in the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when the module's own configuration does not match the car's vehicle configuration.
Possible causes
- The module is meant for another car, for example when a used module with different software or hardware has been fitted
- Invalid or faulty data from the vehicle configuration file
What you can do
- 1Check that the correct multimedia module is fitted in the car
- 2A recently replaced or used module is a possible cause, since it may be intended for another car
- 3Have a workshop configure the module and transfer the map data from the DVD to the hard disk
- 4Erase the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
