What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is titled open circuit, it applies when the DC voltage on the signal wire from the GPS antenna is too high. The multimedia module (MMM) monitors that voltage, and the navigation may show the wrong position while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Open circuit on the signal wire
- Damaged GPS antenna
What you can do
- 1See whether any fuse for the multimedia system has blown
- 2Look for breaks, open joints or loose connectors on the antenna cable between the GPS antenna and the multimedia module
- 3Check that the connectors at the GPS antenna and the multimedia module are fully seated and free from oxidation
- 4Erase the code and check whether it returns after the car has been driven for a while
- 5Have a workshop measure the voltage on the signal wire and replace the GPS antenna if it is damaged
