What does this fault code mean?
The multimedia module (MMM) takes its settings from the vehicle configuration file held in the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when that file gives invalid or faulty data, and the module then assumes a standard configuration.
Possible causes
- The vehicle's configuration is incorrect
- The multimedia module (MMM) is meant for another car, for example when a used module with different software or hardware has been fitted
What you can do
- 1Find out whether the multimedia module has been replaced or is used, since it may then be intended for another car
- 2Have a workshop load the car's vehicle configuration into the multimedia module and check that it matches
- 3Road test the car after configuration and check that the navigation and traffic information work
