What does this fault code mean?
The battery charger control module (OBC) monitors the LEDs in the charging socket. The code is set when the circuit to the LEDs is short-circuited or overloaded, and the charging socket lamp may then signal a fault or reduced charging.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground or overload in the circuit to the LED lamps
What you can do
- 1Look for visible damage to the charging socket and the lamp
- 2Have a workshop check the wires to the LED lamps in the charging socket for damage and short circuits, and the wires between the charging socket and the OBC
- 3Do not work on the charging system wiring yourself; it is a high-voltage system and a job for a workshop
Symptoms you may notice2
- The charging socket LED signals a fault or reduced charging
- The fault may show all the time or only now and then
