Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The battery charger control module (OBC) monitors the voltage value supplied for charging. The code is also set when the charging cable is disconnected in the wrong way, and it can also be set by a power failure during charging.
Possible causes
- Charging cable disconnected incorrectly
- Power failure during charging
- Incorrect connection to the power source
- Charging cable is defective
What you can do
- 1Caution: unlock the car, turn off charging at the control unit and unplug the cable from the car before it is removed from the outlet
- 2After a power failure during charging the code is set and charging resumes when power returns, but the code does not clear by itself
- 3Check that the charging cable is undamaged and of the right type
- 4Look over the charge socket for damage
- 5Do not work on the high-voltage section yourself; have a workshop do it if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice2
- Charging from an external cable does not work or works poorly
- The lamp in the charging socket signals a fault or reduced charging
What the fault can affect1
- Charging of the high voltage battery stops
