What does this fault code mean?
The battery charger control module (OBC) monitors the voltage value used for charging. The code is set when the incoming voltage is too high, which may come from an incorrect connection to the power source or from a defective charging cable.
Possible causes
- Incorrect connection to the power source
- The charging cable is defective
What you can do
- 1Look at the charging cable for breaks and damage
- 2Have a workshop check that the connection to the power source is correct
- 3Look over the charge socket for damage
- 4Do not work on the high-voltage section yourself; have a workshop do it if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice2
- Charging of the high voltage battery from an external cable does not work or works poorly
- The lamp in the charging socket signals a fault or reduced charging
What the fault can affect1
- No charging of the high voltage battery can take place
