What does this fault code mean?
The battery charger control module (OBC) monitors its internal functions and its communication with the gateway. The fault is set when the control module detects an internal fault or when communication is missing. The fault is caused by damaged charging components, and charging the high voltage battery is not possible while it remains.
Possible causes
- Charging components are damaged
What you can do
- 1Read out and erase the fault code, charge again and see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the charging cable is not damaged and that the correct type of charging cable is used
- 3Have a workshop check that the charging socket in the car is not damaged and that the cable is fully seated in it
- 4Have a workshop check the wiring between the charging socket and the control module OBC, and the charging components. The high voltage system may only be handled by authorised personnel
