What does this fault code mean?
The battery charger control module (OBC) checks that the cable can be latched to the car by the lock motor inside the charging socket. The fault is set when the activation signal to the lock motor is overloaded. Charging the high voltage battery is not possible while the fault remains.
Possible causes
- Overload on the signal to the lock motor
What you can do
- 1Read out and erase the fault code, charge again and see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the charging socket in the car is not damaged and that the charging cable can be locked into it without anything blocking it
- 3Have a workshop check the cables to the charging socket. Do not work on the high voltage system yourself
Symptoms you may notice3
- Charging the high voltage battery from an external charging cable does not happen, is reduced or does not work correctly
- The LED on the charging cable or the charging socket shows a fault and charging is reduced
- The lock function in the charging socket does not lock or unlock the charging cable
What the fault can affect1
- Charging the high voltage battery is not possible
