What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance camera module (PAC) forwards the camera's picture to the display in the front. The fault is set when the signal between PAC and the display is incorrect. The fault can come from a poor connection or oxidation in the connections, a broken or short-circuited signal cable, or a damaged parking camera.
Possible causes
- Poor contact or oxidation at the joints between the parking assistance camera module (PAC) and the front display
- A break or short circuit in the signal wire running to the front display
- The cause may lie in the infotainment control module (ICM)
- Damaged parking assistance camera module (PAC)
What you can do
- 1Check that the connectors in the signal path between the parking camera and the front display screen are firmly seated and not oxidised
- 2Have a workshop measure the signal wire to the front display and check the infotainment control module (ICM)
- 3If no fault is found in the connectors or cables, the parking assistance camera module (PAC) may need replacing, which a workshop can do
Symptoms you may notice1
- The parking camera does not work
