What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance camera module (PAC) communicates with the rear camera over a LIN link. The fault is set when that communication does not work. The fault can come from poor contact or oxidation at the connections to the rear camera, an open circuit or short circuit in the wire, a damaged rear camera or a damaged parking assistance camera module (PAC).
Possible causes
- Poor contact or oxidation in the connections to the rear camera
- Open circuit or short circuit in the wire to the rear camera
- Damaged rear camera
- Damaged parking assistance camera module (PAC)
What you can do
- 1Check that the connectors at the rear camera are firmly seated and not oxidised
- 2Check that the wire to the rear camera is not chafed or damaged
- 3Have a workshop measure the wire to the rear camera. Replace the rear camera first if needed, and the parking assistance camera module (PAC) only if that does not help
