What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance camera module (PAC) receives data from the camera and checks that it is correct. The fault is set when the received data is incorrect. The fault can come from a loose connection in the video cable joint, a damaged wire, the camera having no power, the LIN bus being short-circuited to voltage or ground, or a damaged camera.

- Loose connection in the video cable joint to the camera or control module
- Damaged wire
- The camera has no power
- The LIN bus is short-circuited to voltage or ground
- Damaged camera
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact and that the connectors at the camera are firmly seated and not oxidised
- 2Check that the cable to the camera is not damaged
- 3Clear the fault code and test drive with reverse gear engaged to see whether it comes back
- 4Have a workshop check the LIN bus and the camera, since a short circuit to voltage or ground cannot be found without measuring
