What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance camera module (PAC) communicates with the rear camera and receives its picture. The fault is set when the control module detects a fault in the rear camera. The fault can come from an open or short circuit in the wire, poor contact in the connections, the camera not being calibrated correctly, the rear camera being missing, or a damaged rear camera.
Possible causes
- Open circuit or short circuit in the wire to the rear camera
- Poor contact or oxidation in the connections to the rear camera
- The camera has not been calibrated correctly
- The rear camera is missing
- Damaged rear camera
What you can do
- 1Check that the rear camera is fitted and that its wire is not damaged
- 2Check that the connectors at the rear camera are firmly seated and not oxidised
- 3Have a workshop check the calibration of the rear camera and replace the camera if it is damaged. The parking assistance camera module (PAC) is replaced only if that does not help
Symptoms you may notice1
- The parking camera does not work
