What does this fault code mean?
The rear camera and the parking assistance camera module (PAC) must be calibrated for each individual car, because small manufacturing tolerances would otherwise give a wrong picture. Calibration makes the guide lines in the front display show correctly and at the right angle. The fault is set when a calibration is missing, and it is erased only once the calibration is finished. It happens after the rear camera or the parking camera has been changed, and when the calibration was not carried out at the factory.
Possible causes
- Calibration after changing the rear camera has not been carried out
- Calibration after changing the parking assistance camera module (PAC) has not been carried out
- Calibration has not been carried out at the factory
- Calibration failed at the factory
What you can do
- 1If the fault code PAC-B12BD92 is also present, deal with that one first
- 2Tell the workshop if the rear camera, the parking camera or the tailgate and bumper have been changed or adjusted recently
- 3Check that the tailgate and rear bumper are fitted and adjusted correctly, and clean the camera lens
- 4Have a workshop carry out the calibration of the rear camera. The fault code is erased only once the calibration is saved and finished
Symptoms you may notice1
- The parking camera does not work
