Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance camera module (PAC) checks its ID against the signal setup broadcast by the central electronic module (CEM) sends out on CAN. The fault is set when the IDs differ, or when the ID from CEM is missing. The fault can come from PAC not being intended for this particular car, for example a used control module with different software or hardware. The parking camera does not work while the fault remains.
Possible causes
- Incorrect configuration ID, because the unit does not belong to this car, such as a second-hand one with other software or hardware
What you can do
- 1If the parking camera is used or has been replaced recently, tell the workshop, since it then needs to be configured for the car
- 2Read out and erase the fault code, test drive and see whether it comes back
- 3Have a workshop program the parking assistance camera module (PAC) with the latest software for the car
- 4In some cases the fault can come from an open circuit or interference on the CAN wires between PAC and CEM. If the fault comes back, have the workshop check them
Symptoms you may notice1
