What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance camera module (PAC) normally gets its data from the brake control module (BCM) over the CAN link. The fault is set when communication with the BCM is missing. The fault should be traced in the control module that sends the information, and park assist does not work while the fault remains.
Possible causes
- The cause may lie in the transmitting control module, the brake control module (BCM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the supply cables from the battery to the brake control module are firmly connected and not oxidised
- 2Check that the earth connections from the brake control module to the body are firmly fixed and not oxidised
- 3Have a workshop check the CAN wires and the brake control module. The braking system is safety-critical, so do not work on it yourself
