Volvo models this fault code applies to
This fault code has different meanings depending on model, model year or engine. Select the meaning that applies to your car.
Applies to the following models:
8 modelsS60 (2011–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
This code is event-controlled, which means it does not show a fault in the parking camera but is there as information. The parking assistance camera module (PAC) continuously receives the necessary information from the transmission control module (TCM) over CAN and checks its quality. The fault is set when the TCM reports a lower quality of information than PAC accepts. The code is a secondary result of a fault in the TCM.
Possible causes
- The root fault is in the transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Deal with the transmission control module (TCM) first, since this code comes from that fault
- 2Have a workshop read the fault codes in the transmission control module and trace the fault from there. There is no separate fault-tracing for this code
- 3Once the root fault is fixed and its fault code is erased, this code can be erased
Symptoms you may notice1
- The parking camera does not work
