What does this fault code mean?
The signals that the parking assistance camera module (PAC) receives over the CAN network do not check out, according to the checksum that protects the signal. The fault is set when the received signals are incorrect, and the cause is an internal fault in the control module. The picture on the front display may then be wrong or missing.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Erase the fault code and test drive with reverse gear engaged to see whether it comes back
- 3The fault is in the control module itself, so you cannot fix it. Have a workshop check the parking camera and replace it if needed
Symptoms you may notice1
- Front and rear park assist does not work
What the fault can affect3
- The control module for the front display (HLDF) shows a single-colour picture
- The control module for the front display (HLDF) shows no picture
- The guide lines that show the car's position sideways are drawn completely straight, whatever the steering wheel angle
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
