What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance module (PAM) has detected an electrical fault in the circuit to the left rear inner parking sensor. The module monitors the voltage on the sensor line, and the code is set when it deviates for more than a brief moment.
Possible causes
- The sensor is poorly seated in its connector or mounting
- Poor contact, moisture or corrosion in the connections
- Short circuit to ground in the sensor wiring
- Open circuit in the sensor supply
What you can do
- 1Check that the sensor in the bumper is secure and undamaged, for example after a minor impact
- 2Check whether other parking sensors have codes – several at once point to a shared supply fault
- 3Check the sensor connector and the wiring behind the bumper for moisture and corrosion
- 4If the fault remains, have the sensor and wiring checked by a workshop
Symptoms you may notice2
- Parking assistance does not work
- Information lamp and message in the display
