What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance module (PAM) has a signal configuration ID that does not match the one the central electronic module (CEM) sends out. The fault indicates that a control module from another car has been fitted, and the module needs to be loaded with the correct software.
Possible causes
- Incorrect configuration ID, since the unit was never meant for this car, for instance a second-hand unit with other software or hardware
What you can do
- 1Consider whether the parking assistance module has been replaced with a used control module, as the code indicates this
- 2Read the code, clear it and switch the ignition on; wait a while and read the codes again to see whether it is still stored
- 3If the code remains, have a workshop load the parking assistance module with the correct software
- 4If the code is still stored after reprogramming, have a workshop load new software into the central electronic module (CEM) and check again
- 5Drive the car for a while after the work and read the codes again
