What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance module continuously monitors its input and output signals. The code is stored when the signals are faulty or missing. It is most often stored together with other codes, and those should be traced first.
Possible causes
- Faulty or missing input or output signals
What you can do
- 1Read all the codes; if other codes are stored, trace them first
- 2Check that the fuses are intact; the fuse list in the car shows which one applies
- 3Read and clear the code, then test drive the car to see whether it comes back
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, look at the stored values (freeze frame data) from when the code was set
- 5If no other codes are stored, do not work on the steering yourself; have a workshop check the electric power steering
Symptoms you may notice1
- Front or rear parking assistance does not work
