What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance module has not received information about the car's current configuration from the central electronic module (CEM), so the configuration is not complete. The fault points to contact resistance, oxidation, a break or a loose contact in the connections to the CAN network, and the central electronic module should be traced first.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance, oxidation, a break or a loose contact in the connections to the CAN network
- The fault lies in the sending control module, the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then test drive the car to see whether it comes back
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, check first whether codes are stored in the central electronic module (CEM)
- 3Check that the connections to the CAN network, at the parking assistance module and at the central electronic module, are firmly seated and free from oxidation
