What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance module's configuration does not match the car's configuration. The code points to a module taken from a different car having been installed, and that module then needs the right software. The fault may also lie in the car's configuration file or in the central electronic module (CEM).
Possible causes
- Faulty software in the parking assistance module
- The car's configuration file is faulty
- Damaged central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Consider whether a control module from another car has been fitted to the car, since the code indicates this
- 2Read and clear the code, then test drive the car to see whether it comes back
- 3Have a workshop load the parking assistance module with the latest software for the car
- 4If the code remains after that, have a workshop check the car's configuration file and the central electronic module (CEM)
- 5Check that the fuses are intact; the fuse list in the car shows which one applies
