What does this fault code mean?
The parking assistance module (PAM) continuously receives information from the central electronic module (CEM) over the bus and checks how good that information is. The fault code is stored when the CEM reports a lower quality than the parking assistance accepts and the incorrect values remain for a while. The fault therefore concerns the information coming from the CEM.
Possible causes
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM) that sends the information to the parking assistance
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the connectors to the parking assistance module and to the CEM for looseness and oxidation
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop troubleshoot the central electronic module (CEM), since it is the one sending the faulty information
- 4If the fault remains after that, have a workshop replace the parking assistance module (PAM)
