Possible causes
- Mechanical fault in the left brake caliper
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car using the parking brake to see whether it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the left brake caliper and listen for it to start and stop
- 3Look at the left brake caliper and its cable for damage or chafing
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check that the caliper moves freely and replace it if needed
- 5The parking brake is a safety function: have a workshop check it if it does not work as it should
