What does this fault code mean?
The parking brake module (PBM) continuously receives information from the supplemental restraint system (SRS) over the CAN bus and checks its quality. The fault code is stored when the SRS reports a lower quality of information than the parking brake module accepts. The fault lies in the restraint system.

- Fault in the supplemental restraint system (SRS), which sends the incorrect information
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car using the parking brake to see whether it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: check whether there are fault codes for the driver's seat belt buckle
- 3The restraint system is a safety system: do not work on it yourself; if there are fault codes in it, have a workshop check it
- 4The parking brake is a safety function: have a workshop check it if it does not work as it should
