What does this fault code mean?
The parking brake control module (PBM) checks its internal components. The fault code is stored when an internal part does not work, and The cause is an internal fault in the control module.

What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and test drive the car using the parking brake to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the connectors on the control module are firmly fitted and not corroded
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop check and reprogram the parking brake control module if needed
- 4The parking brake is a safety function: have a workshop check it if it does not work as it should
