PBM-U300362 - Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System

Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The parking brake control module (PBM) compares its own system voltage with the system voltage in the central electronic module (CEM), which is sent over the CAN network. This code is only worth troubleshooting when it has been active for a long time during the current driving cycle and the driver notices that a function is not working. Otherwise it can be ignored and erased.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance, oxidation or open circuit in the connections
What you can do
- 1If the fault code has not been active for long or no function is affected, erase it and leave it at that
- 2If a parking brake function does not work: check that the battery is in good condition and that its terminals are firmly fitted
- 3Check the connectors in the supply to the parking brake control module for oxidation and looseness
- 4If the fault remains and a function still does not work, have a workshop check the connections and the communication with the CEM
- 5The parking brake is a safety function: have a workshop check it if it does not work as it should
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
