What does this fault code mean?
This code concerns the BLIS system, where a camera sits in each external mirror. The passenger door module (PDM) talks to the camera on the passenger side over LIN and monitors the voltage to the LED. The fault code is stored when the supply wire to the LED is shorted to voltage.
Possible causes
- The supply wire to the LED is shorted to voltage
What you can do
- 1Start the engine and activate the BLIS system; check whether the LED flashes three times or stays lit all the time
- 2Look at the LED connector and wire for chafing or damage
- 3With a multimeter, check whether the wire to the LED has voltage even though the ignition is off
- 4If the fault code does not return, no further action is needed; otherwise have a workshop check the LED and its wiring
