What does this fault code mean?
This code concerns the BLIS system, where a camera sits in each external mirror. The passenger door module (PDM) supplies the camera on the passenger side and registers a signal that is too low on the supply wire, which can be caused by a short to ground. The fault code should only be troubleshot if it appears together with PDM-0030; if it appears alone it can be erased without action.
Possible causes
- The supply wire to the camera is shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1If PDM-002F appears alone: erase the fault code without any other action
- 2If PDM-002F appears together with PDM-0030: start the engine, activate the BLIS system and check that the LED flashes three times
- 3With a multimeter, check that the wire to the camera is not touching ground (the body)
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop troubleshoot the wire to the camera and the passenger door module (PDM)
Symptoms you may notice2
