Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The control module has registered voltage on the signal wire when the mirror motor is activated to move the door mirror downwards. The fault therefore concerns the downward movement of the mirror, and the door mirror control does not work while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Signal wire for the mirror up and down movement is short-circuited to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Look at the cable to the mirror for chafing and pinch damage
- 2Check the connectors at the mirror and at the control module for oxidation and loose connections
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with supply voltage. If a fault is found, replace the signal wire
- 4If no fault is found in the wire, try replacing the power door mirror
- 5After the work, check that the mirror moves up and down and that the fault code does not return
Symptoms you may notice1
- Door mirror control does not work
