What does this fault code mean?
The control module has registered an open circuit in the signal to the mirror motor for upward or downward movement while the function is being used. The door mirror control then does not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire for the mirror up and down movement
- Blown fuse
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuse for the mirror is intact and replace it if it is blown
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no open circuit, and look for breaks, chafing and loose connections
- 3Remedy the connectors at the mirror if they are oxidized or poorly connected
- 4If a fault is found, replace the signal wire. If the wire is intact, fit a new power door mirror to test it
- 5After the work, check that the mirror moves up and down
