What does this fault code mean?
The control module has registered a short to ground in the cable when the door mirror heater is activated. The heating in the mirror then does not work.
Possible causes
- Signal cable short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Look for damage and chafing on the cable to the mirror heater
- 2Check the connector at the mirror for oxidation and poor contact
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable is not short-circuited to ground (the body). If a fault is found, replace the signal cable
- 4If the cable is intact, fit a new door mirror to test it
- 5After the work, check that the mirror heating works
