What does this fault code mean?
The passenger door module (PDM) has not received any signal from the rear door control module on the LIN bus. The fault can be caused by an open circuit, a short to ground or poor contact in the communication cable or its connections. Electric windows and central locking are then affected.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the communication cable
- Communication cable short-circuited to ground
- Contact resistance, oxidation or poor contact in the connections
- Open circuit in the connections
- Short circuit in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Use a few functions in the car, for example the rear window lifts and central locking, to see which ones work
- 3Look for chafing and damage on the communication cable to the rear door modules. Use a multimeter to check that it has no open circuit and is not short-circuited to ground
- 4Check the connections to the rear door modules for oxidation, looseness and poor contact
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, read the fault codes in the passenger door module and the rear door modules and see whether any module does not respond

- Electric windows do not work, work reduced or work incorrectly
- Central locking with the button in the door panel does not work
- Locking and unlocking with the central locking does not work
- Switch indication does not work
