What does this fault code mean?
The control module in the rear door on the passenger side supplies the lock motor for the deadlock position. The signal from the output is too high when the deadlock position is activated, and the fault can then show as the lock not going into the deadlock position. The cause may be that the power supply cable is short-circuited to supply voltage or has an open circuit.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the power supply cable
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Test the door lock and the central locking with the buttons and controls to see which functions are affected
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the lock motor has neither an open circuit nor contact with supply voltage
- 4Look for damage, chafing and moisture in the wiring to the rear door and check the connectors for oxidation and poor contact
- 5Remedy as needed, then check that the deadlock position works
Symptoms you may notice1
- Does not go into the deadlock position
