What does this fault code mean?
The passenger door module (PDM) supplies the central locking motor in the passenger door. The control module has registered that the signal from the output is too low when the central locking is activated. The fault can be caused by the supply cable being short-circuited to ground, and then the passenger door cannot be locked or unlocked.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable short-circuited to ground
- Moisture and/or oxidation in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Look for moisture and oxidation in the connectors to the central locking motor in the passenger door
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the central locking motor is not short-circuited to ground (the body). If a fault is found, remedy the wire or the connector
- 4Try the central locking and the mirrors to see which functions do not work
- 5After the work, check that the central locking locks and unlocks the passenger door and that the fault code does not return
