What does this fault code mean?
The rear door module on the passenger side powers the central lock. The control module has registered that the signal from the output is too high when the central locking is activated. The fault may be caused by the supply cable being short-circuited to supply voltage or having an open circuit, and then the door cannot be locked or unlocked.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable short-circuited to supply voltage
- Open circuit in the power supply cable
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Try locking and unlocking the car to see which doors do not respond
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire to the central lock in the rear door has neither an open circuit nor contact with supply voltage
- 4Look for damage, chafing and loose connections in the wiring to the rear door
- 5Remedy as needed, then check that the central locking works for all doors
Symptoms you may notice1
