What does this fault code mean?
The rear door control module powers the window lift that lowers the rear window. It has registered that the down relay for the window motor is inactive, although it should be active when the window is lowered. The relay is stuck in the inactive state, so the electric rear window does not work.
Possible causes
- Relay stuck in the inactive state
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Try lowering the rear window from its switch to see whether it moves
- 3Check that the glass does not bind in its guides and that nothing is blocking it
- 4Have a workshop check the down relay for the rear window motor
- 5After the work, lower and raise the window and check that the fault code does not return
