What does this fault code mean?
The front left door module communicates with the left camera module (LCM) over the LIN bus. The fault is stored when the power supply to the LED is short-circuited to ground. The LED then does not light, and a message may appear in the information display.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable short-circuited to ground
- Software in some cars built between mid-May 2011 and early February 2012 may be faulty
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Check whether the blind spot warning works when you test drive the car
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the LED supply wire is not short-circuited to ground (the body)
- 4Look for damage and moisture in the wiring to the front left door
- 5If the car was built in that period and no fault is found in the wiring, have a workshop check the software in the camera module
Symptoms you may notice2
