What does this fault code mean?
The front left door module communicates with the left camera module (LCM) over the LIN bus. The fault is stored when the wire feeding the LED is short-circuited to supply voltage. The LED then does not light, and a message may appear in the information display.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable short-circuited to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Test drive the car and see whether the blind spot warning works
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire feeding the LED has no contact with supply voltage
- 4Look for chafing, damage and moisture in the wiring to the front left door
- 5If a fault is found, repair the wire. If none is found, have a workshop check the camera module
Symptoms you may notice2
