What does this fault code mean?
The front right door module communicates with the right camera module (RCM) over the LIN bus. The fault is stored when the wire supplying the LED is short-circuited to ground. The LED then does not light, and a message may appear in the information display.
Possible causes
- Power supply cable short-circuited to ground
- Software may be faulty in some cars built between mid-May 2011 and early February 2012
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Drive the car and check whether the right-hand blind spot warning works
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the LED is not short-circuited to ground (the body)
- 4Look for chafing and moisture in the wiring to the right front door
- 5If the car was built in that period and the wiring is fine, have a workshop check the camera module software
Symptoms you may notice2
